A lens and a CCD
When I submit photos, DeviantArt helpfully suggests that they're high-res enough to make prints. I like the idea of having my photos turned into prints in theory, as the pictures I submit look good to me (otherwise, I wouldn't submit them). However, I've never had anyone buy a print. Sometimes I see the print icon next to the tile of an image and think "why should I expect people to buy this?" I'd like to think that given the abundance of icons on DeviantArt, most people will ignore the print icons unless they're actually interested, but it's possible that seeing them there turns people off of looking at my photos. No. Just let people know where you found it if they ask you.

Camera Woes

I am a casual photographer. I am also an opportunistic photographer. I manage to take a few good shots, now and again, mostly by virtue of taking a lot of shots and having a camera handy in case something cool shows up. If you take enough pictures, one or two is bound to look halfway decent.  However, I have a small problem, which is that my trusty Canon PowerShot A95 is wearing out. I had thought it was just the view-screen on the fritz, but it appears that the CCD or other internal electronics are no good, and it may be time to replace it. Having to tap or shake your camera to make the CCD pick up an image is not really conducive to photogr
